Beth A. Tarini, MD, MS, is an assistant professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and a research investigator in the Child Health Evaluation and Research Unit, both at the University of Michigan. She received her BA with honors from Harvard University, her MD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and her MS in Health Services from the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at the University of Washington.
Dr. Tarini conducts research on the organization and delivery of health-care services through state newborn screening programs, as well as on physician-patient/parent communication about genetic testing in pediatrics.
She is the author of a publication that focuses on the eligibility of population-based research of newborn screening tests for a waiver of consent under current federal regulations.
