David E. Woodrum, MD

David E. Woodrum, MD, is clinical director for the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics at Seattle Children’s Hospital; he is professor of pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and faculty associate in the university Department of Medical History and Ethics.

Woodrum’s clinical and teaching activities are focused on convalescing premature infants and on pediatric biomedical ethics issues for residents, fellows and other health-care providers. His research explores the determinative elements of parental decision making. He is co-director of the Pediatric Interim Care Center in Kent, Wash., a nationally recognized program providing medically supervised care for drug-exposed infants.
