Cassandra Aspinall, MSW, LICSW, is ethics consultant for the Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center. She has worked at Seattle Children’s Hospital since 1985 and is a senior social worker in the Craniofacial Center.
Aspinall is a clinical assistant professor in the School of Social Work at the University of Washington. Her research interests include adolescent quality of life and access to dental and orthodontic care for patients affected by craniofacial conditions.
Her ethics publications have focused on issues concerning surgical decision making involving children and families. Active in the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association, Aspinall was recently elected to its governing body and was a 2003 recipient of the Seattle Children’s Hospital Family Choice Award.
